Greenstar supports and encourages environmental education through personalized tours, classroom visits, our educational trailer and additional resources for teachers through the guidebook, "Why Recycle? - A Teacher's Guide to Recycling Education in the Classroom." The guide provides background information on the solid waste and recycling industry and describes five recyclable commodities: aluminum, steel, plastic, glass and paper.  

In addition, Greenstar hosts, sponsors and participates in community and industry events around recycling and sustainability each year.
